Minor Injury Unit

We are delighted to be able to extend and improve our servcies by providing a Minor Injury Unit at the Stennack Surgery.

OPENING TIMES

8 a.m - 8 p.m Monday to Friday including bank holidays

(except Christmas Day & Boxing Day)

We will also be open on Saturday during the school Summer Holidays (23 July-3 Sept inc) 10am-4pm

bandageThe service will enable anyone with a variety of conditions to access immediate advice and treatment.

What’s a minor injury?

The list of potential conditions is wide but includes:

Cuts, lacerations, abrasions

Infections following injury

Bites, both animal and human

Removal of foreign bodies

Sport injuries

Lower back pain due to strain / injury

 Unfortunately we are unable to deal with major trauma, head injuries, poisonings or major collapse.

How do you access this service?

  • The service is available 8a.m – 8p.m, Monday to Friday,
  • There is no need to book an appointment with a GP as this will slow your access to the service.

Who can access the Minor Injury service?

Anybody can, you don’t have to be registered at the surgery.
