Primary Care Hubs
There is an opportunity to be part of this exciting project of practitioner-led minor illness units throughout Cornwall, which will free up practices to focus on proactive care and prevention.
The hubs will provide additional appointments for people who present on the day with minor illness symptoms. Practices can direct some of their patients to attend the hubs against set criteria.
Are you a confident practitioner who is comfortable to work under your own autonomy?
Less experienced individuals will be paired with other more experienced or GP’s. We understand this work may be a little out of staff’s usual frameworks, however it is a really exciting opportunity to change how we deliver care to people in Cornwall and to make primary care a sustainable and happy place to work for future long-term careers.
About you and the opportunity
You will be a registered practitioner (with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of minor illness, an advanced practitioner or a GP depending on experience). These roles are being offered as a short-term portfolio opportunity in addition to your existing working hours. It is essential that you are able and comfortable to work autonomously, although clinical oversight will be available either on site or remotely.
The roles offer flexible working patterns to fit around time commitments across 5 days a week. However, if you have availability on a weekend, please let the Team know. Read the job description and person specification here.
