Primary Care Practitioner - Nurse Practitioner/Specialist Paramedic

Primary Care Practitioner
The Stennack Surgery, St Ives, Cornwall 

We are looking for a Primary Care Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team and broaden our clinical skill-mix. This will be an extremely varied role and the successful candidate will be a qualified nurse practitioner or specialist paramedic who will treat patients for Acute Illness over the telephone, at the surgery and in the patient’s own home as part of our Same Day Service (SDS). In view of our aging population you may have the opportunity to take on some elements of Chronic Disease and Frailty treatment as your role develops. The Stennack Surgery has a Minor Injuries Unit and you may also be involved in treating injuries and emergencies (with the suitable qualifications).

You will be joining our progressive, innovative and friendly team in the beautiful seaside town of St Ives in Cornwall. If you have the necessary experience, drive and enthusiasm we would like to hear from you.

  • Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Acute Illness Experience OR Specialist Paramedic with 2 years post registration experience of treating Acute Illness in Primary Care (or comparable experience) (Essential)
  • General Practice or Out of Hours Service Experience of treating patients for acute illness within Primary Care (or comparable) experience (Essential)
  • Minor Injuries Qualification/Experience (Desirable but not essential)
  • Prescribing Qualification (Desirable but not essential)
  • Up to 37.5 hours per week (Applications for part-time hours welcome)
  • Salary £38,785-£43,660 depending upon experience and qualifications
